Hometown
Fishers, Indiana. Just down the street from the Fishers Endurance House.
How long have you been doing triathlons, running or swimming?
I have been running for 15 years. I have competed for my school teams since middle school. I ran for Fishers Junior High, Hamilton Southeastern High School and Butler University.
Favorite piece of training equipment
My favorite piece of training equipment is a foam roller. I spend a lot of time running, as I run 90-130 miles per week most weeks of the year, so I try to make getting on a foam roller a daily occurrence.
Nickname
Nickname is Mad-Dog, given to me by my mother.
Favorite pre-race meal
The night before a race, my go to meal is chicken parmesan. My go to race morning breakfast is a bagel with peanut butter and honey, clif bar, banana, and of course coffee.
How do you recover from hard workouts?
I recover from hard workouts by using the Normatec recovery boots, drinking chocolate milk, and if I have time I take a nap (rarely occurs anymore).
Favorite Race
The OneAmerica 500 Festival Mini-Marathon in Indianapolis. This is a race I have followed growing up and love being able to compete with a phenomenal running community in Indy. I also love the Indy 500, so to be able to run around the Indianapolis Motor Speedway is a lot of fun and a great way to kick off the month of May in Indianapolis.
Best part of Tuesday Night Fun Runs is simply running with other people in the community. We have some great run ambassadors that really help make every Tuesday a truly enjoyable experience.
