How long have you been doing triathlons, running or swimming?
My love of running started with cross country in high school over 25 years ago. Throughout the years I’ve continued running and have competed in race distances from 5k to 50 miles. I’ve completed a few sprint triathlons including an off road tri in Michigan and have been the support team for my husband at Ironmans Madison and Louisville.
I’ve been cycling since I was a kid and was a founding member of the Carless May project in Schererville. This was a social experiment where we gave up our cars for the month of May for trips 10 miles or less to see if the average person could really replace a car with a bicycle. One year I even parked my car inside the bike shop for the whole month!
What is your favorite piece of training equipment?
For cycling, I love my Kask helmet. It’s lightweight, keeps me cool and can save my melon in the event of a crash. For running, the Juno sports bra. I’m also a big fan of all the Clif products – you’ll often find me munching on some ShotBloks or the Nut Butter filled bars.
What is your nickname?

What is your favorite pre-race meal?
Pizza and Beer the night before
What do you do to recover from a hard workout?
Over the last decade, what apparel innovation is your favorite most useful, best for all levels of fitness?
I love that running apparel has become more fashion forward while still keeping the high performing tech to keep you comfortable. Most of my wardrobe consists of running clothes that double as casual clothes. I can go from running errands to running the trails and look good while doing both!
What is your favorite race?
Anything where there is beer or donuts involved
I’m excited to be back in Indy. I spent four years here at Butler and fell in love with the city. We moved here this year so my husband could attend grad school at IUPUI.
Most days my dog Dunkel accompanies me to work. He’s in charge of staff morale and is the director of relaxing. Dunkel is a big fan of our UPS driver because he always seems to have a biscuit in his pocket. You’ll often find him relaxing in front of the fireplace.
